Oenothera versicolor – Evening Primrose

Sunset Boulevardevening primrose

Hardy Perennial

Sunset colours captured in a flower!

This is a truly beautiful flower, and no garden should be without this very pretty Evening Primrose.

This is a rather unusual plant, the flowers change colour!

When the blooms open up, they are a lovely peachy/orange shade, and as they mature, they turn to a beautiful, crimson red. Like many Oenotheras, the combination of new and spent blooms together, is stunning.

This very choice plant makes a wonderful addition to the garden, bringing some welcome colour to your borders when most other flowers are well over.

Position in a sunny spot, for flowers all summer long.

Height: 24inches

Ideal For: Bedding, Borders, Cottage Gardens.

Sow in autumn/late winter/spring
